Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product groups, global kitting suppliers, and procurement to develop and deliver effective kitting solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement of packaging specifications as they relate to safety, quality, and cost using feedback from process partners
  • Provide weekly onsite guidance at Peoria-area packaging and kitting facilities, driving operational improvements, designing packaging solutions, and troubleshooting existing issues
  • Conduct regular audits of packaging solutions to ensure compliance and implement corrective actions in a timely manner
  • Network and collaborate with existing facilities on kit issues related to packaging, warehouse storage, and cost reduction opportunities
  • Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units
  • Perform activities to ensure parts are protected, shipped, and delivered to the customer in accordance with quality expectations, including resolving safety and quality issues caused by kit packaging
  • Design packaging for kit products and service parts; providing detailed guidance and specifications to IPCs and suppliers
  • Monitor and evaluate quality and effectiveness of existing packaging; address issues caused by transportation damage
  • Create, maintain, and update packaging standards and processes
  • Partner with the Global Packaging team to address internal and external packaging inquiries and drive projects forward
