Requirements

  • BS/MS in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years in managing projects and other initiatives
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, preferred
  • Dry Products Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Black Belt or Scrum Master Certification, preferred
  • Lean knowledge and experience
  • Excellent skills in managing work teams, projects and integrated activities

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Continuous Improvement Lead Team for the Site in accordance with Lilly’s Manufacturing Standards for Operational Excellence (MSOE)
  • Create a partnership with site leadership to encourage and foster a culture of continuous improvement, remove barriers, improve processes, ensure project alignment with site priorities and drive cost reduction for the site to meet or exceed goals and targets
  • Own the Operational Excellence Roadmap and its sustainability
  • Take accountability for the success of CCI coaches and work with area leadership to enable optimal project selection
  • Ensure appropriate processes are in place to select, train, coach, develop and manage the pool of CCI coaches under supervision or across the organization
  • Maintain and prioritize a portfolio of potential projects (~1-3M/year), focusing on business-critical opportunities and challenges
  • Work with leadership to implement and organize the lean deployment to ensure consistency of projects, including opportunities to replicate across the organization
  • Apply knowledge of business operations, functional components, and cross-functional processes to develop and execute transformation projects, integrating organizational change management in support of the site business plan and strategic objectives
  • Plan and deliver on assigned business initiatives across a wide variety of areas and Lilly del Caribe
  • Serve as Competitive Continuous Improvement Program Manager
  • Manage Competitive Continuous Improvement Resource Management and/or Supervision
  • Ensure Compliance with Competitive Continuous Improvement Company expectations locally
  • Act as Integrator between the Central and Local Competitive Continuous Improvement Programs as well as Externally
  • Facilitate or lead complex site-wide, Lilly del Caribe Network or Company-wide business initiatives or projects
  • Responsible for the integration of the Manufacturing Standards, the site assessment and improvement process, and own the training and communications for the Manufacturing Standards (revisions & deployment of new standards)
  • Assist Site Leadership in the design and execution of business strategies development and deployment to deliver high multi-function/site results
  • Anticipate and escalate key business/organizational opportunities that impact a function, the site or Lilly del Caribe
  • Facilitate reflection and review exercises to develop remediation strategies and/or to identify best practices for future application
  • Provide support to functional leaders with respect to organizational design initiatives on an as needed basis
  • Comply with training required for the position and ensure team remains compliant
