Minimum of 1 year of lead or supervisory experience
Participation in the Company’s management trainee program
Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
Experience in labor relations
Responsibilities
Supervise operations activities within a segment of the transfer station, overseeing dispatchers, operations clerks, drivers, and helpers to maximize productivity and ensure compliance with federal and state weight regulations
Work with the Operations Manager and General Manager to implement tactical initiatives to drive functional excellence and budget achievement
Ensure adherence to all accident prevention programs and lead operations to comply with safety, environmental, operating, regulatory, accounting, ethics, and other standards
Understand and provide leadership to achieve and communicate safety goals and objectives; remove unsafe conditions; partner with maintenance for equipment compliance; oversee safety and accident prevention programs; engage employees in a culture of safety
Provide service meeting or exceeding customer expectations; resolve unusual service requests, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes; interact with customers to solve issues and improve experience; represent the company positively to drive satisfaction and loyalty
Establish productivity goals; ensure adherence to operating standards; manage labor hours and disposal expenses; manage daily outbound throughput; lead drivers to exceed productivity goals; execute operational plans to achieve budgeted goals; support service delivery, maintenance, and fleet quality
Create a collaborative, communicative team environment; drive employee engagement; build and develop talent; understand career goals and provide coaching for advancement
