  • Preferred skills: Understanding of YouTube Studio basics (metadata, scheduling, analytics); experience running own channel, page, or fan account, including writing platform-native social captions
  • Application materials: Résumé; cover letter with links to shows/videos worked on and specific contributions; original social video on contemporary news topic (with hook, story, call to action); second video on views of news social landscape, addressing effective YouTube shows/independent creators, ineffective ones, and lessons for news media. All work in English

Responsibilities

  • Support daily production tasks, including gathering assets and elements for rundowns
  • Assist with editing clips (longform and shortform)
  • Brainstorm and edit shoulder content (e.g., reaction clips and extras)
  • Track community sentiment and surface audience feedback
  • Support social posting
  • Work alongside producers, editors, and talent in planning shows, cutting clips, and building communities
