Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, along with a solid understanding of operations research techniques such as optimisation (linear, integer, nonlinear), simulation, graph theory, and statistical analysis. Programming skills in Python, Java, or C++ are required, alongside experience with optimisation libraries like OR-Tools, PuLP, Gurobi, or CPLEX. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good written and verbal communication skills in English, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are also essential.

Responsibilities

The Operations Research Engineer will develop and implement mathematical models (optimisation, simulation, statistical) to support business processes and decision-making, assist in the development of algorithms for logistics, scheduling, inventory management, and resource allocation problems, use software tools like Python, SQL, OR-Tools, and similar to build and test models, analyse results, identify trends, and prepare detailed reports and visualisations for stakeholders, and support the Senior OR Engineers in research, model validation, and implementation projects. They will also stay updated on the latest trends, methods, and technologies in operations research and analytics, and communicate technical findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
