Requirements

  • Eligible to start in summer 2026
  • Interest in operations leadership within a supply chain facility
  • Willingness to work 40 hours per week in a hands-on training program
  • Ability to commit to a defined internship period at the Food Distribution Center in Windsor, CT

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with managers and team members to understand Target’s supply chain operations
  • Lead and support the execution of daily operations alongside team members
  • Learn to lead, motivate, and influence a team, including leading a department
  • Collaborate with a Mentor to dive into effective department leadership and explore business areas/functions
  • Problem-solve, conduct real-time observations, and drive results while prioritizing safety and productivity
  • Step into leading the Mentor's work center with guidance
  • Participate in ongoing developmental conversations and extensive training
  • Build and manage team culture across the building
  • Develop problem-solving and change management skills
  • Gain knowledge of retail business fundamentals
  • Set and plan daily/weekly workload for department(s) to support business priorities
  • Manage a team of hourly team members and create business strategies and goals
  • Gain knowledge of departments within the facility
