Requirements

  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Maintenance Management Programs, and other job-related specific systems
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in the operation of customer service
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to complete a background check, pre-placement physical, and drug screen
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments, including hazardous conditions requiring protective equipment (OSHA compliant), confined spaces, ladders, rooftops, adverse weather, with chemicals, machinery, moving parts; involving frequent standing, walking (6-8 hours daily), sitting (1-3 hours), bending, reaching, lifting (light to moderate), manual dexterity, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling
  • Ability to work irregular schedules, overtime, and on-call rotation

Responsibilities

  • Installation of water meters in the district
  • Manage water meter inventory
  • Changing out water meters
  • Repairing water meters
  • Meeting with customers about water and sewer issues
  • Perform locates of water and sewer lines throughout the district
  • Perform operations/maintenance and housekeeping in accordance with contract requirements
  • Trouble shooting (routes, water quality issues)
  • Read meters
  • Maintains communication with project personnel
  • Performs preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Perform service orders
  • Complies with all company Health and Safety procedures
  • Other customer service-related job duties
