Requirements

Ability to operate various heavy machinery including roll-off trucks, 12-wheel dump trucks, front-end loaders, excavators, street sweepers, water tankers, and others in confined indoor spaces
Knowledge of handling hazardous waste residues and containers
Ability to perform inspections, maintenance, fueling, and regeneration of equipment
Capability to work in tight spaces, such as backing up to production scales
Skills in interpreting scales, lights, and weight indicators
Ability to communicate effectively with coordinators, supervisors, and other employees
Capacity to read and follow route sheets, safety instructions, and operational priorities
Experience with sampling, testing (e.g., spread tests), documentation, and lab submissions
Training ability to instruct other operators
Availability for night shifts (quart de nuit) full-time

Responsibilities

Perform inspections and required maintenance on used vehicles
Keep rolling equipment and workspace clean and safe
Fuel vehicles as directed
Conduct in-person shift handovers with colleagues at start and end of shift
Operate all required machinery or vehicles for operator positions
Complete related task forms and timesheets
Clean personal protective equipment (PPE)
Clean assigned workspaces and maintain premises
Create work requests for container or mechanical breakdowns
Complete event reports for breakdowns, accidents, or abnormal incidents
Perform equipment regeneration (e.g., excavator, roll-off, 12-wheel)
Handle unloading of raw materials from pneumatic trucks
Train other operators
For roll-off truck: Communicate with machinery coordinator for tasks, print and review route sheets, load/move/deposit trans-rollable boxes/containers around the plant and on supports, handle centrifuge/deduster containers, remove/replace tarps, prepare boxes for dumping/use, dump boxes into basins, communicate safety instructions, snow removal, wash boxes, return empty/washed boxes to storage, sample boxes at detarping rack
For dump truck (12-wheel): Check bin door and hooks before filling, back to production scale, get loaded on scale, interpret lights/weight, transport Stablex to landfill site, back to pouring conveyor, operate tipping system, empty bin content, wash rear of bin after each unload, inform control room of truck changes, sample each F basin, perform spread tests on F basins, complete documentation and deliver samples to lab, fetch sand from site, clean bin on "dirty" signal
For front-end loader: Distribute inventory forms (description cuts off, but implied distribution and related loader tasks like moving residue)
