Requirements

3+ years managing technical or open-source communities
Familiarity with at least one security domain (cloud, container, or incident response) and the ability to understand code snippets and Falco rules
Experience with Linux and cloud native technologies, especially Kubernetes and its ecosystem
Comfortable building dashboards from APIs or CSV exports
Familiarity with DevRel/GitHub Actions workflows
Experience with open source and promoting inclusive, collaborative communities, identifying opportunities for engagement
Comfortable speaking publicly and working with users and developers both online and in person
Track record moderating forums or chat platforms (Discourse, Stack Overflow, Discord)
Event-planning experience (online and in-person)
Prior hands-on experience with open-source security tools (e.g., Falco, Wireshark, Stratoshark, SysdigOSS)

Responsibilities

Design and implement the strategy and daily operations of the open-source community forum, turning it into a vibrant, inclusive space that accelerates community growth
Work with open source user base of security engineers, DevOps practitioners and researchers from onboarding to power user—by reducing friction, developing knowledge-base
Define and track community health metrics (e.g., MAU, NPS, response times, churn), set quarterly OKRs, and ensure engagement
Establish standards, and improving content discoverability through tagging
Foster a welcoming and respectful environment by enforcing the code of conduct, responding to complex posts or escalating to SMEs, and maintaining Discourse plug-ins and integrations
Grow content and engagement programs such as tutorials, AMAs, release notes, security advisories, and quarterly CTFs/webcasts in partnership with the research team
Build community advocacy through MVP/ambassador programs, recognition efforts, and weekly "Top Threads" recaps for newsletters and social media
Channel feedback to influence product and documentation roadmaps
