Requirements

Ability to coordinate, direct, and monitor daily operations of a practice front desk/physician practice under supervision of Office Manager or Practice Administrator
Knowledge of billing systems and reports to resolve issues timely
Familiarity with practice management reports, finance logs, and VMG/IDX billing processes
Proficiency in administrative tasks such as typing correspondence, maintaining schedules, and preparing meeting materials
Conversant with OSHA and CLIA regulations for medical facilities
Understanding of cycle/resource/personnel management
Ability to maintain documentation of licenses and certifications (e.g., Safety Day Training, State Medical License, CDS/DEA renewals, ACLS)

Responsibilities

Monitors and/or performs daily input of charges, payments, bank deposits by checking against daily reports and updating computer systems
Oversees daily completion of billing functions, ensuring billing and accounting controls follow policy and procedure
Monitors Practice Management reports, completes finance log and billing reports, communicates and completes VMG/IDX billing requests
Provides administrative support to Physicians by typing correspondence/memos, posting/maintaining staff schedules, and posting VMG-related information
Maintains practice PTO calendar, physician master schedules for appointments/procedures/surgeries, and staff work schedules; assists with staff meeting minutes and agendas
Acts as liaison between physician and patient by obtaining pre-certs/authorizations from insurers; liaises between office personnel, Virtua, and external parties for Outstanding Patient Experience
Processes/files, maintains vendor contacts for practice appearance, functionality, and safety
Assists Practice Administrator with budget creation, monitors expenses, reviews monthly financial reports for compliance, reports variances, and takes corrective action
Orders and maintains par levels for office and clinical supplies
