Candidates must hold a Master of Science Degree in nursing, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on psychiatric mental health clinical preferred, or a Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing or ten (10) years’ experience in psychiatric.
The Nursing Services Educator will assist with the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of onboarding, preceptorship, and continued education opportunities for nursing services staff, contributing to the student experience for nursing student groups and precepted nursing students at Rogers. They will develop and deliver local Nursing Services Orientation (NSO) content, conduct NSO knowledge checks, create individualized education plans for new nursing staff, develop and deliver virtual Regional Nursing Services Orientation (NSO) content, and develop and deliver the CBRF Medication Administration course. The role involves monitoring training outcomes, conducting on-site education, coordinating preceptorships, providing education resources, supporting academic partnerships, coordinating continuous education, staying updated on research advancements, and participating in committees and process improvement initiatives, while also maintaining a professional demeanor and complying with hospital policies.
