Responsibilities

  • Provide primary and family evidenced-based care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning
  • Provide administrative duties, including opening/closing the clinic, inventory, patient follow-up, verifying insurance, collecting payment, and maintaining a clean environment
  • Handle patient appointments and perform routine examinations to ensure positive patient health outcomes
  • Speak with patients about healthy lifestyle choices, complete diagnostic tests to diagnose and treat injuries or illnesses, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care plans
  • Encourage patients to participate in their healthcare through health screenings, behavioral health and wellness, and chronic condition management
  • Order and administer immunizations and injections (e.g., COVID-19, influenza, TB, Depo) and provide evidence-based vaccine counseling and education
  • Provide education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices
