Requirements

Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse
Bachelor's degree preferred
2+ years’ management experience and knowledge of occupational health nursing or relevant nursing field preferred
Basic computer skills and ability to work with an electronic medical documentation system
Physical requirements: walking through the plant to ensure compliance, assessing team members swiftly, and performing CPR if needed
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Independent decision making and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel 1-3 domestic trips per year

Responsibilities

Provide professional support, advice, and supervision for Occupational Health Services staff
Facilitate and assure clinical practice, professional and educational development, and training of staff to ensure safe, effective, person-centered practice and care
Implement and maintain Occupational Health programs, policies, and procedures for the facility
Supervise a group of nursing and support personnel
Supervise and evaluate nursing care provided to workers
Monitor nursing functions to ensure staff adheres to correct nursing procedures within scope of practice
Attend facility management meetings to provide occupational health related updates
Conduct annual nurse performance evaluations
Interview and hire qualified nursing staff and ensure adequate staffing on each shift
Manage workers’ compensation cases
Ensure records and reporting systems comply with OSHA, State, company, and legal requirements
Adhere to the highest standard of confidentiality
Participate in facility safety and ergonomic programs
Develop and coordinate health education programs for Team Members
Other duties as assigned
