Requirements

  • Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years’ management experience and knowledge of occupational health nursing or relevant nursing field preferred
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work with an electronic medical documentation system
  • Physical requirements: walking through the plant to ensure compliance, assessing team members swiftly, and performing CPR if needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel 1-3 domestic trips per year

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional support, advice, and supervision for Occupational Health Services staff
  • Facilitate and assure clinical practice, professional and educational development, and training of staff to ensure safe, effective, person-centered practice and care
  • Implement and maintain Occupational Health programs, policies, and procedures for the facility
  • Supervise a group of nursing and support personnel
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing care provided to workers
  • Monitor nursing functions to ensure staff adheres to correct nursing procedures within scope of practice
  • Attend facility management meetings to provide occupational health related updates
  • Conduct annual nurse performance evaluations
  • Interview and hire qualified nursing staff and ensure adequate staffing on each shift
  • Manage workers’ compensation cases
  • Ensure records and reporting systems comply with OSHA, State, company, and legal requirements
  • Adhere to the highest standard of confidentiality
  • Participate in facility safety and ergonomic programs
  • Develop and coordinate health education programs for Team Members
  • Other duties as assigned
