Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional support, advice, and supervision for the Occupational Health Services staff
  • Facilitate and assure clinical practice, professional, and educational development and training of staff to ensure safe, effective, person-centered practice and care
  • Implement and maintain Occupational Health programs, policies, and procedures for a facility
  • Supervise a group of nursing and support personnel
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing care provided to workers
  • Monitor nursing functions to ensure nursing staff adheres to correct nursing procedures within scope of practice
  • Attend facility management meetings to provide occupational health related updates
  • Conduct annual nurse performance evaluations
  • Interview and hire qualified nursing staff
  • Ensure adequate staffing is provided on each shift
  • Manage workers' compensation cases
  • Ensure records and reporting systems comply with OSHA, State, company, and legal requirements
  • Adhere to the highest standard of confidentiality
  • Participate in facility safety and ergonomic programs
  • Develop and coordinate health education programs for Team Members
  • Other duties as assigned
