Requirements
- Completion of a registered nursing program required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse required
- 2+ years management experience preferred
- Knowledge of occupational health nursing or relevant nursing field preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work with an electronic medical documentation system
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Independent decision making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel 1-3 domestic trips per year
Responsibilities
- Provide professional support, advice, and supervision for the Occupational Health Services staff
- Facilitate and assure clinical practice, professional, and educational development and training of staff to ensure safe, effective, person-centered practice and care
- Implement and maintain Occupational Health programs, policies, and procedures for a facility
- Supervise a group of nursing and support personnel
- Supervise and evaluate nursing care provided to workers
- Monitor nursing functions to ensure nursing staff adheres to correct nursing procedures within scope of practice
- Attend facility management meetings to provide occupational health related updates
- Conduct annual nurse performance evaluations
- Interview and hire qualified nursing staff
- Ensure adequate staffing is provided on each shift
- Manage workers' compensation cases
- Ensure records and reporting systems comply with OSHA, State, company, and legal requirements
- Adhere to the highest standard of confidentiality
- Participate in facility safety and ergonomic programs
- Develop and coordinate health education programs for Team Members
- Other duties as assigned
