Requirements

Completion of a registered nursing program required
Bachelor's degree preferred
Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse required
2+ years management experience preferred
Knowledge of occupational health nursing or relevant nursing field preferred
Basic computer skills
Ability to work with an electronic medical documentation system
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Independent decision making and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel 1-3 domestic trips per year

Responsibilities

Provide professional support, advice, and supervision for the Occupational Health Services staff
Facilitate and assure clinical practice, professional, and educational development and training of staff to ensure safe, effective, person-centered practice and care
Implement and maintain Occupational Health programs, policies, and procedures for a facility
Supervise a group of nursing and support personnel
Supervise and evaluate nursing care provided to workers
Monitor nursing functions to ensure nursing staff adheres to correct nursing procedures within scope of practice
Attend facility management meetings to provide occupational health related updates
Conduct annual nurse performance evaluations
Interview and hire qualified nursing staff
Ensure adequate staffing is provided on each shift
Manage workers' compensation cases
Ensure records and reporting systems comply with OSHA, State, company, and legal requirements
Adhere to the highest standard of confidentiality
Participate in facility safety and ergonomic programs
Develop and coordinate health education programs for Team Members
Other duties as assigned
