Requirements

Completion of the 75-hour nurse aide course, currently a student in an accredited nursing program, current EMT certification, or completion of the hospital-sponsored nurse aide class
One year of medical/surgical hospital experience preferred
Nursing Assistant certification
Basic Life Support
Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporting, or ability to obtain in accordance with the education policy

Responsibilities

Under the clinical supervision of the Licensed Nurse, functions as a member of the healthcare team to provide patient care to Medical/Surgical patients
Provides basic nursing care to patients within the Nursing Assistant’s scope of practice that includes actions that meet psychosocial and physical needs
Care opportunities include a wide range of diagnosis and ages
