Requirements
- Completion of Initial License Training class at Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station
- Successful completion of Systems Phase
- Successful completion of Simulator Integrated Plant Operations Phase
- Successful completion of Simulator Casualties Phase
- Completion of required in-field time
- Completion of required qualification cards
- Passing the NRC license Exam
Responsibilities
- Engage in a combination of classroom instruction, simulator training, and on-the-job experience (Training Phase)
- Acquire the essential skills and knowledge to meet the qualification for a Senior Reactor Operator License holder (Training Phase)
- Assist in developing Emergency Operating Procedures and Abnormal Operating Procedures (Training Phase)
- Review system documentation including P&IDs and design descriptions (Training Phase)
- Provide operability review for systems specifically during off-normal conditions (Training Phase)
- Authorize maintenance and testing activities to ensure equipment status is maintained (As a Senior Reactor Operator)
- Implement Emergency Operating procedures and direct the required procedural steps to stabilize the plant following emergency or abnormal conditions (As a Senior Reactor Operator)
- Evaluate and respond to issues, findings, open items, and requests originating internally and externally from the organization (As a Senior Reactor Operator)
- Oversee special projects determined by the Operations Director/Operations Managers (As a Senior Reactor Operator)
- Review design and license changes for procedure impact, performing 10CFR50.59 applicability reviews and Station Qualified Reviewer (SQR) reviews, and supporting outages and various special projects (As a Senior Reactor Operator)
- Assist in developing refueling sequences (As a Senior Reactor Operator)
