The Principal Engineer should possess 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years of experience leading technical teams or large projects. Expert-level proficiency in at least two of Go, Ruby (Rails), Python or TypeScript/JavaScript is required, along with a proven track record of architecting and shipping complex, high-throughput systems in production environments. Deep understanding of browser internals, automation frameworks, and secure web interaction paradigms is also necessary.
This role requires defining and communicating the long-term technical roadmap for the browser-automation stack, writing production code daily in languages such as Go, Ruby on Rails, and TypeScript, designing distributed, fault-tolerant services and developer-facing SDKs/APIs, growing and mentoring a team of engineers, collaborating with product and design teams, and translating complex technical trade-offs into clear language for stakeholders.
