Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions (LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, etc.)
Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, including diagrams and configurations
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve network efficiency and security
Oversee the daily operations of the network, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
Monitor and troubleshoot complex network issues, including outages, latency, and connectivity problems
Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and patches to network hardware and software
Develop and enforce network security policies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks
Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards
Lead network-related projects, including planning, execution, and delivery within defined timelines and budgets
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems with other IT infrastructure
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and IT staff
Conduct training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to enhance team capabilities
Act as an escalation point for complex network issues
Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures
Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and improvement initiatives
Stay updated on emerging networking technologies, trends, and best practices
Evaluate and implement innovative solutions to enhance network performance and security
