Requirements

Extensive experience in network and security architecture, design, and implementation
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and security protocols (e.g., IPsec, SSL/TLS)
Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and other network devices (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
Proficiency in security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, high-performance network architectures, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud-based networks
Create detailed network diagrams, documentation, and blueprints for implementation
Ensure network designs align with business objectives, scalability, and future growth
Develop and implement robust security architectures to protect the organization’s network and data
Design and deploy firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and other security solutions
Ensure compliance with security standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or other relevant frameworks
Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in the network and security infrastructure
Develop strategies to mitigate risks, including implementing security controls and monitoring systems
Perform regular security audits and penetration testing to ensure the integrity of the network
Design and implement secure cloud and hybrid network solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Ensure seamless integration of on-premises and cloud-based systems
Implement security measures for cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM) and encryption
Implement and manage network monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and security
Proactively identify and resolve network performance issues and security threats
Establish incident response protocols and lead investigations into security breaches
Work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to understand requirements and deliver solutions
Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams on network and security best practices
Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network and security architectures, configurations, and processes
Generate reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance status for management
Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in networking and cybersecurity
Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance the organization’s network and security posture
