Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years in Network Administration
  • Minimum ten (10) years of hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies
  • Expert-level knowledge of LAN and WAN-based technologies and protocols, including BGP, SD-WAN, OSPF, Layer 2/3 Switching & Routing
  • Expert-level knowledge of RF wireless designs, predictive/physical wireless surveys, on-site installation, maintenance/repair, and troubleshooting of WLAN systems
  • Expert-level knowledge of best practices and design of a highly redundant LAN architecture
  • Expert-level OSI layer 1-4 troubleshooting ability
  • Expert-level understanding of RADIUS, AAA, and TACACS+
  • Solid understanding of NAC databases/sources for 802.1x implementations
  • Expert-level understanding of certificate management via private PKI, public CA, and SCEPman
  • Working knowledge of Mobile Device Management (Intune, JAMF, etc.)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to build and support great teams; foster teamwork, collaboration, and transparency

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the performance and availability of the network infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards to maximize productivity
  • Design, configure, implement, and support all network components; both hardware and software
  • Manage firewalls, routers, switches, access points, and other network infrastructure
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify areas for improvement to ensure uptime and scalability
  • Conduct and assist in product evaluations to evolve our network
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation of the network environment
  • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and planned maintenance windows
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues for both wired and wireless connectivity
  • Implement and enforce network security best practices and frameworks, including access controls and segmentation
  • Work closely with data, software, and engineering teams across the company
