Requirements

5+ years of experience in an IT environment with network architecture design and deployment
Experience with networking and security
Ability to provide ongoing support, maintenance, and training on the implemented systems
Ability to perform network assessments and design recommendations
Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve network issues
Understanding of Firewalls, IPS/IDS
Understanding of TCP/IP, IPSEC Site to Site VPN, GRE, DMVPN, Client VPN, NAT, VRF technologies
Understanding of Data Center technologies such as VPC, VDC, FcoE, FC, virtual switching
Understanding of Cisco IOS and NXOS
Understanding of Cisco Meraki
Understanding of Layer 2 Technologies such as switching, VLAN, spanning tree
Understanding of Layer 3 Routing protocols: MPLS, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF
Understanding of Software-defined Networking (SDN)
Understanding of Wireless design and configuration
Understanding of Network monitoring solutions
Understanding of Cisco Voice/Call Manager
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) (preferred)

Responsibilities

Develop network technology solutions, taking into account business and technical requirements, sizing, existing infrastructure, data protection, security requirements and governance and recovery objectives to ensure solutions resolve clients’ requirements and challenges
Design and/or implement standard or custom technical solutions
Participate in operational escalations to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary
Participate in implementation of network and system security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
Create relevant documentation as required (including but not limited to conceptual design, logical design, physical design, bill of materials, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, transition to operations information)
Participate in gathering data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements
Participate in recommending changes to improve systems and network configurations in client environments, and determine hardware or software requirements
Build trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Provide consultancy services for the design and implementation of industry leading network solutions
