This role is a critical, core team member within the UK, Ireland, and Nordic Healthcare Systems and Technologies division. The primary responsibility is to manage the daily tactical and operational activities of the Safe Patient Handling sales team, driving the development and implementation of strategies to achieve objectives and targets. The team includes direct sales managers and distributor managers. Reporting to the Head of Sales, this position focuses on achieving sustainable sales growth with existing customers and generating new business. The Manager will lead the team, ensuring they have the necessary support to excel in the sales process.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in the Medtech industry, with a minimum of 2 years in sales management.
  • Strong communication and change management skills, demonstrating transparent and inclusive values.
  • Proven track record of leading transformation and growth.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt quickly to change.
  • Passion for developing new business opportunities.
  • Strong planning skills with a structured work approach.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement annual sales plans, goals, and objectives for the sales team.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to the sales team to achieve sales targets.
  • Hire, train, manage, and retain top talent to ensure team success.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead and manage the account planning process for individual Account Managers, aligning with the strategic marketing plan.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners for ongoing business and new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing, technical services, therapy partners, finance, etc., to align sales strategies with company objectives.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set KPIs, and provide coaching and feedback to the sales team.
  • Monitor sales activity and pipeline, forecast sales revenue, and report regularly on sales performance to senior management.
  • Develop and negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Act as a change agent within the organization to foster agility and innovation in internal and external operations.
