Requirements

Candidates must have good hands-on knowledge of MySQL and InnoDB, along with proficiency in MySQL ecosystem tools and technologies. Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, index tuning, backup solutions like Xtrabackup and mydumper, and Point-in-Time-Recovery is required. Familiarity with High Availability solutions, zero-downtime procedures, and monitoring requirements is necessary. Demonstrable experience administering Linux-based systems and methodical troubleshooting skills are essential. The ability to be self-taught and enthusiastic about growing skill sets is crucial, as is the availability to travel occasionally and experience working with customers in English.

Responsibilities

The MySQL Database Engineer will work as part of the Percona Support global team to resolve complex database issues and improve customer database infrastructures. This role involves understanding customer business needs and technical environments to provide solutions for large-scale MySQL deployments.
