Candidates must have good hands-on knowledge of MySQL and InnoDB, along with proficiency in MySQL ecosystem tools and technologies. Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, index tuning, backup solutions like Xtrabackup and mydumper, and Point-in-Time-Recovery is required. Familiarity with High Availability solutions, zero-downtime procedures, and monitoring requirements is necessary. Demonstrable experience administering Linux-based systems and methodical troubleshooting skills are essential. The ability to be self-taught and enthusiastic about growing skill sets is crucial, as is the availability to travel occasionally and experience working with customers in English.
