Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and account development in Renters Insurance focused on the Multifamily and Single-Family industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling into C-Suite/executive decision makers
  • Proven track record of strategic planning, negotiation expertise, building and managing a sales pipeline via Salesforce
  • Successful track record of sales quota performance
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of company products, services, and solutions (helpful)
  • Experience working with larger Property Management Companies of 8,000+ units within the Multifamily Housing industry (helpful)

Responsibilities

  • Expand sales in new and existing accounts by identifying customer needs, participating in developing client plans, and introducing new products and services
  • Influence prospects to buy products by mastering the selling process and identifying and pursuing market and niche opportunities
  • Enhance relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance
  • Research and recommend new opportunities and profit/service improvements while assisting leaders in outlining these opportunities or enhancements
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to others in resolving complex problems and issues
  • Use in-depth knowledge of business arrangements, both financial and contractual
  • Understand financial trends and fluctuations with assigned clients and communicate issues and resolutions to clients and channel personnel
  • Act as a consultant with other channels and utilities at Assurant
  • Identify customer needs through sales prospecting, build on crucial client/industry relationships, manage sales pipeline, conduct online and in-person sales presentations, and execute large client deals
