Requirements

  • 5 Years in Purchasing and hands-on Inventory control Background
  • Knowledge of parts and materials necessary to repair and maintain manufacturing equipment and facilities
  • Understanding of inventory management processes
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Ariba, and CMMS systems preferred
  • Competent in MS Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Intermediate computing skills and willingness to learn new systems
  • Process oriented project management mindset

Responsibilities

  • Manage internal and external processes to ensure there are adequate MRO supplies to minimize equipment downtime
  • Partner with internal resources and external suppliers to ensure the business maintains correct/effective MRO inventory levels, including participating in planning sessions and staying on top of the needs of all areas of the plant
  • Lead inventory optimization efforts including reviewing MIN/MAX with preferred suppliers and purchasing team
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to perform and present tooling life and usage analysis to identify opportunities to improve performance
  • Lead cost savings initiatives with preferred suppliers
  • Ensure MRO purchasing and maintenance standards are being followed and looking for improvements to be implemented
  • Be the voice of the plant to Global Supply Chain MRO and Sourcing teams to ensure the MRO program is efficient
  • Manage and monitor compliance with MRO policies and procedures
  • Constantly seek supply alternatives for materials already developed, seeking to reduce costs and/or performance improvements
  • Plan the supply of consumable materials (cutting oil, grinding wheels, abrasives, and office supplies, etc.)
  • Meet corporate procedures for price adjustment negotiations
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and reliability personnel to drive cost reductions
  • Monitor KPIs related to MRO and ensure service levels are met by preferred suppliers
