Requirements

Basic tool set for job functions
1+ years of general heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience (10+ years preferred)
Working knowledge of telematics systems and diagnostic software
Basic computer skills
Ability to read and understand operating manuals, service manuals, and written instructions
Valid Class C driver's license
Ability to clearly read, write, and speak English
Basic math calculations
Cummins or Detroit Certifications (preferred)
Commercial Inspection Certification (preferred)
Physical ability to maneuver around, in, on, and under trucks/tight spaces; stand, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, push, pull; use hands to handle/control/feel; climb ladders/stairs/platforms; lift/carry up to 50 pounds
Skills in: engine diagnosis/repair, preventative maintenance, wheel seals, water pumps, A/C components, compressors, air/hydraulic braking systems, APUs, basic math, tool utilization, truck repair, electronic diagnostics, mechanical repair, knowledge of Cummins X15/DD15/Detroit DD15 engines, diesel repair, fleet mechanic/technician experience

Responsibilities

Performing scheduled and non-routine repairs to company/contractor fleet to meet DOT standards
Diesel and gas engine diagnostics and repair
Suspension and steering systems diagnostics and repair
Air and hydraulic braking systems diagnostics and repair
Electrical and lighting diagnostics and repair
Preventative maintenance repairs
Changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
Maintaining a clean and neat shop
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
