Requirements

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with significant experience of electronic test at all stages of project lifecycle
Experience in electronic circuit design, testing and failure analysis techniques
Experience in test equipment design
Experience in requirements capture
Experience in project management and planning
Proven experience in providing technical leadership to all Test related issues across design projects, including Test Equipment requirements capture and specification
Experience in DfT (Design for Test) and testability
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders within the business relating to technical direction
Strong interpersonal and well developed communication skills (written & verbal)
Willingness to travel when required (UK and EU)
British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship (security clearance requirements)

Responsibilities

Participate in all aspects of the Missile Test process - from early feasibility studies to series production and in-service support
Improve the definition of test equipment technical requirements by focussing on key areas and removing waste
Manage definition of the project test strategy
Define Project BIT (Built-In Test) architecture including coverage requirements
Improve the way specifications are written across all projects
Assess and recommend improvements to ways of working across Test and Testability Architects (TTA)
Lead the analysis of production test data to spot trends and diagnose failures
Lead the analysis and modelling of systems to understand test coverage and generate diagnostic instructions
Participate and support Red-Team reviews and activities into critical issues during development and manufacture
Support new product bid activities
Identify, document and deploy best practice across the department and within projects
Mentor and actively support members of the Test & Testability department
Lead / participate in roadmap development activities
Support departmental strategy and support the department head with recruitment of the right people into the team
