Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of Millwright/Mechanical Journeyman level work experience
  • Possession of one of the following certifications: Union or Company Apprenticeship, Trade School, Journeyman level Machinist (preferred)
  • Previous refinery or chemical plant experience (preferred)
  • Active TWIC Card (or ability to obtain one)
  • Climb ladders
  • Walk up and down steps
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willing to work at heights
  • Willing to work in compact and confined spaces
  • Willing to work outside in inclement weather
  • Willing to work while wearing a respirator, PAPR, or SCBA
  • Willing to work in areas requiring hearing protection

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and overhaul process rotating machinery in both shop and field environments
  • Utilize standard hand tools and battery-operated tools
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment (Micrometers, Calipers, Protractors, & Indicators)
  • Interpret tolerances and dimensions from drawings, sketches, and engineering documents
  • Operate various shop support equipment (Saws, Forklifts, Overhead Cranes, Hydraulic presses, Bearing Heaters, Torches, etc.)
  • Participate in callout coverage
  • Occasionally work on altered work schedules during maintenance outages and turnarounds
