Candidates should have 3-5 years of work experience in systematic alpha research or equity trading. A good track record of innovative thinking and problem solving is essential. Applicants must have graduated with advanced degrees from top universities in science and engineering, preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Physics. Formal training in independent academic research is required. Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as C/C++ or Python/R, is necessary. Good communication skills, rigor, patience, and a strong sense of teamwork are also important. Candidates should be highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The Mid-level Quantitative Researcher will apply rigorous statistical analysis to large volumes of market and financial data to develop predictive trading models and strategies. They will perform full research and development cycles for global equity quantitative trading, including idea generation, data cleaning, strategy backtesting, portfolio optimization, risk management, and production monitoring.
