Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma/GED
Valid California driver’s license
Current CPR certification
One year experience in a social or recreational program within the past five (5) years, one year of which was full time in an activities program in a health care setting
Minimum of one year experience in a psychiatric setting with the chronically severe and persistent mentally ill

Responsibilities

Assisting in the development of the activity program
Planning special events in compliance with current existing federal, state, and local standards, as well as established policies and procedures
Ensuring that residents' spiritual, emotional, and psycho-social needs are met individually
