Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional education in finance or a related field preferred. Previous experience in customer service, banking, or financial services is strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with members are essential, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in transaction processing are required, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and banking software, is necessary, and knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards is preferred. Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours is also required.

Responsibilities

The Member Service Representative will greet members in a friendly and professional manner, both in-person and over the phone. They will process member transactions accurately and efficiently, assist with account inquiries, and educate members about products and services. The MSR will identify opportunities to cross-sell credit union products, resolve member concerns and complaints promptly, and adhere to all credit union policies and regulatory requirements. Additionally, they will perform administrative tasks, participate in ongoing training, and collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals.
