Scribes become experts in value-based care model, documentation and care of chronic conditions, ICD-10 and CPT coding, clinical workflows, preventative care, population health data, and team-based care through extensive on-the-job training.
The ideal candidate should commit at least 1-2 years to this role, as patients and providers rely on scribes.
Ideal candidates are pre-med track individuals seeking clinical experience before MD/DO/PA/NP programs, or those pursuing Health Informatics, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Medical Coding, and related fields.
