Requirements

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific field, with a strong scientific background in academia, industry, or healthcare, specifically in haematology, immunology, biochemistry, or oncology. Extensive experience delivering scientific presentations to expert audiences and engaging peer-to-peer with scientists and/or clinicians is required. Proven ability to communicate scientific concepts and data effectively, develop and maintain productive working relationships with senior healthcare professionals, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is essential. Additional requirements include basic statistical analysis and data handling skills, the ability to work nationally with diverse groups, strong scientific writing skills, residency on territory, and a valid UK driving license with a good driving record. Experience in a pathology environment within the NHS and customer interaction experience are beneficial.

Responsibilities

The Medical Science Liaison will engage with clinical decision-makers and experts in laboratory, haematology, and immunology to support company goals. Responsibilities include providing scientific knowledge and support for the use of specialist assays in diagnosing and monitoring various conditions, communicating data through meetings, seminars, and conferences, and collaborating with Key Opinion Leaders to promote guideline recommendations. The role also involves identifying new uses for assays and working with Account Managers for business growth.
