Candidates must be certified Medical Assistants (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) with at least 3 years of experience as a medical assistant and 1+ year of telemedicine experience. A commitment to the weekend shift schedule (Saturday–Monday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM PT) is required, along with confidence in working independently and handling high-volume patient interactions. Comfort with evolving technology, including AI-powered tools and digital platforms, strong written communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work assigned holidays are also necessary. Bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus.
The Medical Assistant will support clinicians with patient coordination tasks, including pharmacy communication, prescription support, referrals, prior authorizations, and scheduling/follow-up outreach. They will provide empathetic, patient-centered communication, document tasks and communications in the EHR, identify workflow issues, and escalate when needed. Participation in team huddles and quality initiatives is also expected.
