Responsibilities

Detailed technical discussion with customers (transmission/suspension and/or vehicle level)
Ensure that specifications are properly defined and meet customer and BW (technical) requirements
System level communication and support to customers (and/or – if applicable - assigned 3rd party Engineering Consultant company)
Ensure that customers clearly understand actions and adjustments/developments needed to properly apply BW solutions
Break down customer requirements into detail component level requirements – e.g. for clutch and hydraulic/pneumatic control module
Communication internally with design and validation team, global technical centers, plants, and suppliers for product development
Sign Off engineering release internally incl. all technical documents – Assembly drawings, DVP&R, technical reports, product change requests, part approval requests, …etc
Develop and regularly update DFMEA
Support customer troubleshooting, incl. 8D report to customer, failure investigation initiatives (technical analysis, test programs, …etc.)
Ensure that lessons learned information will be forwarded to the Homerooms
Support cost reduction activities
Support product improvement initiatives
Support production facilities and ensure that product meets production requirements
Support initiatives to obtaining new business / customers
