Responsibilities

  • Develop the products and features that make Kin operate.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Ruby and occasionally Python and Typescript.
  • Lead pair programming sessions and provide mentorship to more junior team members.
  • Drive and foster design or architectural tasks.
  • Participate in daily stands and weekly retros.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members, including Product and PMO.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support.

Requirements

  • Track record of shipping large, complex software projects.
  • Fluid in languages like Ruby, Python, or Typescript.
  • Experience with architectural design.
  • Ability to articulate the value of technical investments.
  • Ability to operate with some technical guidance.
  • Experience mentoring engineers.
  • Familiarity with the front-end and working with modern Javascript libraries or frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
  • Comfortable in a startup environment – fast-paced, self-motivated, and determined.
  • A fast learner, ready to bring previous knowledge to the position and continue developing.
