Requirements

  • Experience with concept development, feasibility studies, and hands-on prototyping
  • Proficiency with 3D modeling (e.g., Solidworks, NX, Creo, etc.). Bonus points for simulation experience
  • Familiarity with high volume manufacturing processes, DFM, DFA, tolerance analysis, functional dimensioning and GD&T
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis, DOE, and quality measuring techniques
  • BSME or equivalent. MS preferred
  • Willingness and ability to travel to Asia as needed

Responsibilities

  • Design, build & test complex electromechanical systems, including plastic, metal, and soft goods components integrating with novel sensors and actuators
  • Help drive designs across the entire development lifecycle, including brainstorming, CAD, prototyping, testing, and ramp into high-volume production in Asia
  • Collaborate with electrical engineering, industrial design, manufacturing, and product team members to develop products from early stage concepts to mass production
  • Perform various testing and analyses to ensure designs meet product goals, including thermal, fluid, and structural analyses
