Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Microtechnology, Mechatronics or a related field
Minimum of 5 years' experience in designing mechanical assemblies (3D CAD; ideally CATIA & SolidWorks)
Strong knowledge of materials and processes, especially metals and plastics used in micro-scale medical device applications
Experience in sub-project management and supplier collaboration
Fluent in German and English; French is an asset
Experience with coatings and adhesive bonding is a plus
Experience with patient-applied accessories such as medical patches, passive electronic components, or electrodes is a plus

Responsibilities

Drive the conceptual design and development of medical device components and systems – from requirement definition through to prototyping and evaluation
Create precise CAD models, technical drawings, bills of materials (BOM), and test specifications
Take ownership of verification, validation, and the regulatory documentation related to mechanical assemblies
Support the industrialization process and ensure a smooth transition from development to production
Assist the procurement team in technical discussions with suppliers
