Requirements

  • Strong skills in SolidWorks (experience with SolidWorks PDM is a plus)
  • Hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Instrument Engineering, or a related field. Automotive or aerospace experience is a plus but not required
  • Proficiency in machining, sheet metal work, additive manufacturing, casting, and composite materials, with a solid understanding of manufacturing limitations
  • Familiarity with ISO design documentation and best practices
  • Comfortable working with hand and power tools, able to assemble devices and components independently
  • Experience with additive processes—from design to printing and testing
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (no relocation sponsorship or remote work options available)

Responsibilities

  • Design Specialized Hardware Modules: Create and improve add-on components and supporting systems that integrate with self-driving vehicles and delivery robots
  • Optimize Production Costs and Processes: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and refine manufacturing workflows for hardware components
  • Develop Next-Generation Equipment: Contribute to research and development for future hardware solutions, supporting new features and operational needs
  • Prototype Assembly and Testing: Participate in test assemblies, including 3D printing and on-vehicle testing, to validate and refine hardware designs
  • Ensure Reliability and Safety: Conduct product testing to meet stringent reliability, safety, and quality standards
  • Support Fleet Infrastructure: Design and implement hardware solutions that streamline fleet operations and enhance infrastructure capabilities
