Requirements

Strong skills in SolidWorks (experience with SolidWorks PDM is a plus)
Hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Instrument Engineering, or a related field. Automotive or aerospace experience is a plus but not required
Proficiency in machining, sheet metal work, additive manufacturing, casting, and composite materials, with a solid understanding of manufacturing limitations
Familiarity with ISO design documentation and best practices
Comfortable working with hand and power tools, able to assemble devices and components independently
Experience with additive processes—from design to printing and testing
Authorized to work in the U.S. (no relocation sponsorship or remote work options available)

Responsibilities

Design Specialized Hardware Modules: Create and improve add-on components and supporting systems that integrate with self-driving vehicles and delivery robots
Optimize Production Costs and Processes: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and refine manufacturing workflows for hardware components
Develop Next-Generation Equipment: Contribute to research and development for future hardware solutions, supporting new features and operational needs
Prototype Assembly and Testing: Participate in test assemblies, including 3D printing and on-vehicle testing, to validate and refine hardware designs
Ensure Reliability and Safety: Conduct product testing to meet stringent reliability, safety, and quality standards
Support Fleet Infrastructure: Design and implement hardware solutions that streamline fleet operations and enhance infrastructure capabilities
