Responsibilities

  • Supervise the meat department team to deliver on the business plan, communicate goals, execute programs, adhere to policies, and collaborate with other leaders to meet member expectations
  • Maintain expertise in meat products and operations, ensure department meets company/regulatory standards, share knowledge, prioritize team training on specifications and equipment, and engage members to assist in protein selection
  • Leverage digital tools to plan/drive sales, improve shopping experience, elevate associate engagement, make real-time decisions on production/training/quality, and adopt/encourage new tools
  • Drive business results through operational excellence, maintain clean/safe work areas, use digital tools for forecasting/planning/production, manage inventory/ordering/staffing/audits/compliance, ensure equipment/storage functionality, and produce/display merchandise per layout
  • Train and develop the team by identifying needs, providing skills for high-quality products, encouraging career growth, and sourcing new talent
  • Develop, communicate, and implement processes/practices to meet business needs by collaborating, analyzing data, monitoring results, and addressing improvements
  • Demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity; guide application, implement action plans, use Open Door Policy, and assist with corrections
