Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, with a preference for a Master's degree. Experience in monitoring and evaluation (MEAL), humanitarian aid, or development work is required, along with demonstrated knowledge of data collection, analysis, and reporting methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also essential.
The MEAL Advisor will provide technical assistance to country offices on monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning, supporting the implementation of organizational DMEAL guidance and the adoption of standard tools for data collection and reporting. They will contribute to the development of comprehensive monitoring and evaluation plans for new projects, measure program reach, and ensure the use of sex, age, and disability-sensitive data collection. The role also involves capacity building for country office MEAL and program staff, developing training materials, and supporting the design and development of evaluation tools, as well as ensuring quality assurance on metrics data and contributing to the continuous improvement of programs.
