Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in master data management
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing large sets of data
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies in data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and implementing process improvements in data management or financial processes
  • Proficiency in financial systems and ERP software, particularly in modules related to vendor management
  • Advanced Excel skills are highly desirable
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments to achieve business objectives
  • Well versed with multiple master data domains (customer, vendor, material & finance)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and integrity of master data (customer, vendor, material & finance) in financial systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Manage and maintain the master data within the financial systems, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate
  • Conduct thorough reviews and validation of vendor information, including contact details, payment terms, and banking information, to prevent errors and ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations
  • Perform data analysis and validation to identify and resolve any discrepancies or inconsistencies in vendor data
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of master data management practices
  • Support the creation, modification, and retirement of records in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Work closely with procurement, accounts payable, and other finance teams to resolve any discrepancies and support seamless financial operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with vendor onboarding and due diligence processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations related to vendor management
  • Prepare and analyze reports on master data metrics for management review
  • Monitor and analyze master data quality, identifying and resolving data issues and inconsistencies
  • Participate in finance projects, including system upgrades and implementations, impacting master data
  • Support the team as and when required across multiple master data domains
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to master data
