Requirements

Knowledge of controls and electric (AC – DC low voltage)
Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems/schematics/components
Basic knowledge of electrical systems/schematics (both AC and DC systems)
Basic knowledge of drive motors, power amps, and electrical controls including PLC systems
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, drive units, differentials, braking systems, telescopic masts, reach mechanisms, steering systems, and suspension systems
Adhere to all safety requirements and wear proper Personal Protective Equipment
Log time and materials into the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) daily
Perform housekeeping and clean up of all maintenance areas/work areas daily
Respond to emergency situations to ensure employee and facility safety
Champion overall safety in the department
Comply with OSHA and other local, state, and federal regulations

Responsibilities

Demonstrate understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements
Complete small electrical repairs and welding projects as needed
Maintain power material handling equipment (MHE), including preventive maintenance (PM) of MHE fleet, checking/draining/filling oil levels, checking/adjusting/replacing belts and chains, checking/troubleshooting electrical controls issues, replacing motors and controls, safety checks, and PM per manufacturers recommendations
Complete all special projects associated with building or grounds, including moving furniture/fixtures, changing lights, light carpentry, painting, light plumbing, changing light bulbs, and repair of minor electrical devices
Assist battery technicians with battery charger repairs, battery changes for MHE, repair of plugs and tips of batteries and chargers, watering and washing batteries, acid spill clean up, battery rack cleaning, battery area sweeping and cleaning, and setting equalizing charge on batteries
Perform all other duties as assigned
