Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of using computers and Microsoft systems
  • Good interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice
  • Accuracy in performing all functions
  • Ability to start work timely daily and maintain strong attendance
  • Ability to receive and complete general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignments
  • Able to lift 40-50 lbs. without assistance on a continuous basis
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, push/pull up to 50 lbs., climb ladders routinely; may occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl
  • Work in warehouse environment under various temperatures (room temp 59–86°F, cold-room 36-46°F, freezer-room -4–23°F/-22°C to -6°C), with loud noises, hazardous/toxic materials, and PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs)
  • Satisfactorily complete Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements and operate within ISO standards
  • May be required to drive site vehicles (e.g., box truck/van) and acquire DOT Medical Certification

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements
  • Sustain a high level of quality to ensure customers receive accurate product in the time requested
  • Receive materials and/or finished goods daily
  • Verify the quality, type, and amount of materials received are accurate and that appropriate documentation (e.g., packing list) is present
  • Safely operate distribution equipment as required
  • Perform work of a highly repetitive nature
  • May handle packaged hazardous materials
  • Occasional local travel between facilities (2-3 miles, informed in advance)
