Requirements
- Studying for a master’s degree in computer science, medical engineering, mathematics, physics or a comparable subject
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages (C/C++), script languages (e.g. Python, Matlab) and preferably libraries (OpenCV, Qt, DCMTK)
- Good grasp of mathematics
- Desire to tackle challenging problems in medical engineering
- Good command of English and ideally a good command of German
- Ability to work independently, highly motivated and committed, and prepared to take on responsibility quickly
- Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement (Sperrvermerk)
Responsibilities
- Learn and apply latest technologies in machine vision, computer graphics, human-computer interaction and interactive systems
- Develop prototypes for the Surgical Navigation System
- Support the team with a proof-of-concept application
- Implement solution using C++, Python and/or Matlab
- Evaluate solution in an ecosystem of state-of-the-art navigation and imaging systems
- Act as an active member of the international and interdisciplinary research and development team
