Requirements

Candidates must possess a B.S. in computer science or equivalent professional experience, with coursework in algorithms, data structures, and discrete math. Familiarity with the academic process, ability to comprehend research papers, and professional software development experience are required. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in computer science or a related field, coursework in applied and theoretical cryptography, mechanism design, or distributed systems, and familiarity with Go or Rust. Broad knowledge of blockchain technologies, especially smart contracts, is also preferred.

Responsibilities

Research Interns will identify and solve key research challenges in decentralized oracle technologies, working with domain experts in applied cryptography, mechanism design, distributed systems, and other disciplines. They will build production solutions to keep Chainlink at the forefront of oracle system deployment and fuel the success of the smart contract ecosystem. Responsibilities include identifying short- and long-term research challenges critical to the company’s success, transitioning innovations from Chainlink Labs into production, studying and inventing cutting-edge oracle technologies, and staying abreast of relevant technology ecosystems and participating in technical communities.
