Requirements

Basic understanding of operational functions, including primary operational functions of the organization, key functional roles of own department, interdependence of support and line functions, and role of departments in enterprise strategy
Working knowledge of decision making and critical thinking, including applying techniques, identifying/organizing data, documenting processes, prioritizing concerns, and assessing risks/benefits
Basic understanding of engineering in manufacturing, including where to obtain engineering information, explaining concepts/features, citing examples of usage, and identifying initiatives/issues/benefits
Basic understanding of lean manufacturing, including examples of benefits/risks, basic tools for observing processes/identifying waste, industry/company examples, and key principles/process highlights
Ability to work onsite five days a week

Responsibilities

Conducting basic equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares, and sustained production
Operating basic production equipment and tools in the manufacture, assembly, and packaging of various products
Following blueprints, guidelines, diagrams, and schematics to ensure product and customer specifications and tolerance levels are met
Assisting as part of manufacturing team in modifying existing equipment or designing new equipment for continual manufacturing process improvement, as well as quality control and in-process production testing
Performing basic activities to assist in the manufacture and assembly of various products per established facility processes including set-up, calibration, testing, maintenance, and production operation
