  • Proficiency in writing step-by-step machining processes (planning/routing) based on engineering data, bids, and customer purchase order requirements
  • Ability to assure properly approved data is entered into the ERP system
  • Capability to maintain overview of new and established jobs for improvements
  • Technical expertise to serve as technical contact for assigned customer products
  • Ability to perform dispositions on internally generated non-conformance reports
  • Skills to confer with management, production, and staff on manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and production processes
  • Ability to confer with planning staff on product tooling for efficient production methods
  • Proficiency in developing manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control techniques
  • Reliability in reporting to work on time, following instructions, interacting well with co-workers, and adhering to work rules and procedures
  • May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control techniques
  • Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures
  • Support new product development, process improvement, production troubleshooting, and customer liaison for quality issues and configuration change
  • Work cross-functionally with Programmers, Production, and Contract Program Managers to resolve discrepancies
  • Conduct internal audits and drive cause and corrective action activities
  • Ensure processes and procedures follow regulations
  • Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and documentation is compliant with requirements
