Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field
Intermediate English required
Functional knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
CAD-CAM (Bobcad-cam/NX)
VSM - lay out (AutoCAD) installed capacity bottle neck
Knowledge of basic tools for observing existing processes and identifying waste, Takt time/cycle time
Advanced knowledge of Manufacturing Processes: APQP concepts; PFMEA, Control Plan, SWES, and MSA
Programming in ISO language with controls Siemens, Fanuc, Okuma P500, Mazatrol and others
Advanced knowledge of measurement equipment and able to perform CMM report interpretation
Knowledge of software systems: ETQ, SAP, Infinity, AQE
Functional knowledge to develop tooling/fixturing/templates (essential)
Functional knowledge of engineering drawing reading and 1E spec interpretation
Functional knowledge of welding process (essential)
Advanced understanding of Standard work instructions for operations
Availability for work schedule Monday to Friday 6:30am-5pm, subject to change including Saturdays 6:30am-2:30pm
International travel up to 20% of the time (during production line implementation)

Responsibilities

Execute day-to-day manufacturing support tasks for production lines
Meet goals on PQVC metrics
Ensure compliance to safety guidelines and environmental requirements for manufacturing
Manage NPI and EC aligned with APQP/PPAP
Provide support on all aspects of production including programming, cost, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, training of collaborators and environmental requirements
Ensure robust production process
Create/update value stream documentation
Perform defect analysis
Create safe standard work procedures
Update CNC machines to prevent/detect defects
Analyze and update process workflow to optimize delivery velocity
Establish measurements and metrics on consumables to lower production cost
Team work to implement new products
Participate in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes
Maintain APQP system documentation
Ensure CQMS is aligned and properly executed in the value stream
Monitor equipment and process reliability; identify and address problem areas
Provide coaching and development for operations technical staff and support areas
Provide engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities
