Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering or technology program (or previously held a job role in assembly manufacturing engineering)
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Conducts evaluations of previous decisions to derive insights; provides guidance on data analysis and alternatives; ensures objective analysis of assumptions
  • Manufacturing Processes: Provides counsel using industry experience; instructs on critical tasks; optimizes methodologies; assesses alternative processes and technologies
  • Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies: Ensures effective communication; collaborates on standards; participates in defining principles
  • Problem Management Process – MFG: Oversees issue resolution; executes procedures for non-standard problems; employs specific problem-solving methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Document safety risks of processes via Safety FMEAs and drive root cause corrective actions for injuries and near misses to ensure safe assembly processes for dozers
  • Provide new processes, tooling, and equipment for newly designed dozers and engineering changes, ensuring full capability
  • Document quality risks via Process FMEAs and reduce them through process and equipment improvements
  • Reduce product assembly costs through process improvements
  • Provide engineering support for the planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, and tooling
  • Drive root cause corrective actions for process defects
  • Promote continuous improvement and build a defect-free culture
  • Provide support and guidance on production, cost, quality, safety compliance, and environmental requirements
